Top Lodge SP9898

Drove out through Kings Cliffe, where we saw several red kites, to Top Lodge which is a joint Forestry Commission and RSPB site. We hit it at the wrong time as the place was swarming with runners and their dogs; thankfully the event was just over. Although more of a recreational site we had an enjoyable walk round, had our dinner under a tarpaulin set up by a forest school. After a fairly chilly walk we stopped for what we considered the worst hot chocolate ever.
