Serra da Arrabida - Portugal

Took the long, scenic but very windy road over the mountains on our journey north. The storks nesting on the telegraph poles along the way were very impressive. Our first stop was high above Setubal in the Serra da Arrabida. A very dirty site as the shrubs had all been burnt and we got covered in soot. The next site was near Sesimbra in a meadow full of orchids and other interesting plants. Did the touristy thing and drove to the end of the peninsular at Casa Espichel. We were then unable to find a hotel room or even a hotel in the surrounding area, so ended up going in to Lisbon - which was a relief. Had a very late meal before returning to some very hot and noisy rooms.
