Down House

On our way to our first campsite we stopped at Down House, home of Charles Darwin. Took the audio tour around the house and a stroll round the garden with the important stop for coffee and cake. There was an air display at Biggin Hill so we got a free viewing. Carried onto the campsite at Wrotham Heath, which was rather busy and noisy with the sound of the adjacent motorway but OK. After shopping and trying out the new chairs we walked to the local pub – the Royal Oak.
